Burrell Theatre Drama workshops


We will be running two workshops over the summer at Truro School’s Burrell Theatre each with a different theme:

30th-31st July;  West Side Story

16th-17th August; Oliver

Time: 0830-1700.

Age range: 6-14 years old.


The cost of the camp will be £50 for two days.

Full payment and a completed application form are required to confirm your place. Upon receiving payment and registration form you will receive an e-mail confirming your acceptance to the Drama workshop and your place will be reserved. PLEASE NOTE: PAYMENT MUST BE MADE WITHIN 48 HOURS (2 WORKING DAYS) OR YOUR CHILD WILL LOSE THEIR PLACE ON THE CAMP.


After registration the children will have an opportunity to get to know each other and make friends and well as learning some new drama skills and dances from the workshop theme. At the end of the second day parents will get a chance to see a small performance in the theatre from the children.

30th-31st July: West Side Story. 
Are you a Jet or a Shark? By the end of this two day workshop you will know as we delve into the script and explore some of the characters and dances from this famous musical.
16th-17th August: Oliver

A two day workshop exploring the script, music and dance elements of the iconic musical ‘Oliver’. Using drama games you will develop your character and then learn one of the song and dance numbers from the show.

The workshops will be led by TJ: Tee J Randall is a dance teacher, choreographer, director and performer. She has been a school teacher for 25 years and in that time has also been a  faculty leader, GCSE moderator, film choreographer, drama teacher, PGCE mentor and guest lecturer at Falmouth University. She has choreographed and directed many musicals and is currently working on Truro School’s production of West Side Story.
