WORKSHOP DETAILS:
We will be running a two day workshop at Truro School’s Burrell Theatre:
Date: Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th April 2025
Time: 0830-1700.
Age range: 7-13 years old.
COST: The cost of the camp will be £65 for two days.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
A theatre workshop based on the famous story of ‘The Jungle Book’ by Rudyard Kipling. We will explore the main events of the story and bring the fantastic characters to life using dialogue, dance, ensemble work and physical theatre.
This workshop will give your child the opportunity to make friends, have fun playing drama games and theatrical exercises and also develop some great drama skills led by our experienced team within the Burrell Theatre at Truro School. There will be an opportunity on the second day to make some props and pieces of costume to use in the performance.
Some stage make-up may also be used for the performance so please advise us of any allergies when signing your child in. Could we also ask that everyone wears a base costume of a blacktop, black trousers and shoes for the performance too please?
Your child does not need any previous acting or dancing experience, just a willingness to be part of an ensemble, be creative and have fun! Something for everyone with different sized parts, the chance to multi-role, dance, physical theatre and narration. Their work will be showcased in a short performance at the end of the second day enhanced by the use of sound, lighting, props and costumes for parents and carers.
