May 13, 2021

With the Covid-19 restrictions in England easing on 17th May, we have updated how this may affect your visit to the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre.

Badminton: From 17th May Badminton can be played indoors for all age groups and in mixed groups of up to 6. If you wish to play in more than a group of 6, play must be as part of an organised group of club (e-mail sbabookings@truroschool.com for most information on club bookings).

Squash:  From 17th May Squash can be played indoors for all age groups and in mixed groups of up to 6.

Other Sports Hall bookings e.g. Basketball & 5-a-side:  From 17th May indoor sport can be played for all age groups and in mixed groups of up to 6. If you wish to play in more than a group of 6, play must be as part of an organised group or club (e-mail sbabookings@truroschool.com for most information on club bookings).

Changing rooms and shower facilities: These are open in the Sports Centre, but we encourage participants to avoid or minimise use where possible (for example, by arriving in kit and showering at home) and to minimise time spent in changing areas.

Face coverings; People are not required to wear face coverings while taking part in sport and physical activity, including coaching. We do ask people to wear face coverings in enclosed public areas e.g changing rooms and corridors.

Spectators; Indoor spectators are not permitted in the Sports Centre or Swimming Pool until 21st June. Spectators are permitted for outdoor sports following Government social distance guidelines.

Swimming Pool: We will continue with our current Covid protocol for the Swimming pool until further notice. This can be found on our opening times page.

Gym: We will continue with our current Covid protocol for the Gym until further notice. This can be found on our opening times page.
